Commercial use
Any audio you generate on the free plan is for personal, non-commercial use only. You cannot monetize videos, podcasts, or any content made with it.
Workaround: Use it for practice and demos. When you're ready to publish, upgrade to the Starter plan for commercial rights.
Voice cloning
The free tier only lets you preview what voice cloning sounds like with a few preset samples. You can't upload your own voice to create a custom clone.
Workaround: Stick to the voice library presets, which are high quality. Or plan for the upgrade when you need a clone.
Character limit
10,000 characters per month runs out fast. A single minute of audio uses roughly 1,500 characters, so you get about 6-7 minutes of voice per month.
Workaround: Write tight scripts and reuse voices. Stretch each minute by editing your audio in a free tool like Audacity.
Queue priority
Free users get lower priority in the generation queue. During peak hours, you might wait longer to get your audio back compared to paid users.
Workaround: Generate during off-peak hours (early morning or late evening) for faster turnaround.
